Michele Jones
Dining Room Manager
Michele was born and raised in Buffalo, NY where she spent her summers with her sister, cousins, and grandparents on their farm. Being raised on a farm introduced Michele to fresh and seasonal cooking, allowing Michele to create fresh meals with her grandmother every day. Daily dinners consisted of fresh meat, potatoes, bread, and vegetables from the garden. A fresh dessert made from fresh ingredients on the farm was also included.
Michele was a hair designer right out of high school, following in the footsteps of her grandmother and aunt who were also hairdressers. She was a hairdresser for 20 years until cooking called her back. She started catering in her late 20’s. Michele also enjoys painting on her days off and dabbling in mixed media. Her mother was an interior designer and her father is a graphic artist. Her sister, Jennifer, is a professional kayaker and owns her own business in Bethesda, Maryland. She is married with one child, who is a straight-A student, which makes our family very proud.
Working at hotels and churches in the kitchen has led Michele to 25 years of discovering new ideas and she has truly enjoyed the culinary field. She has been with Sonoma Hills Retirement Community for 5 years now and has really enjoyed hearing the new ideas for meals from residents.
